Tucked away in a renovated old style Japanese house, Hygge quietly stands on a back street. The decor is subtle and the interior is small, but that’s the charm of this cozy cafe hideaway.
The building, a traditional machiya, retains its old wooden fittings and corridor, along with the original packed-earth walls and floor. All the furniture is carefully selected to fit in with the surroundings. In other words, there isn’t anything to distract from the subtle, peaceful atmosphere.

You can find antiques in the newly opened adjacent gallery space and discover a selection of tea, organic wine, and handmade curry on the menu.

The sense of unity and harmony gives visitors a unique feeling of relaxation.
